In the Hautes Vosges, cameras and satellites are tracking the impacts of climate change

Pierre-Alexis Herrault, Damien Ertlen and Javier Tamayo Pena (LIVE – University of Strasbourg) featured in the press for their Phénocam project

Three researchers from the University of Strasbourg are currently studying how vegetation growing on the Vosges mountain summits is responding to rising temperatures. To do so, they are using forty years of satellite data and have installed several cameras on the high-altitude meadows. Their initial findings already show that the impacts are linked to elevation."
